My Work in Progress

A sketchblog where I post a few of my scribbles from a variety of works-in-progress, usually from my rather random personal creativity outside of the daily grind. I occasionally, but not always, post the final artwork.

Still Hunting

Couldn't find the Life Drawing classroom over at UTD Friday night. I'm not familiar with the campus and the directions that I had were not much help. I'll have to try again maybe next week. And maybe get a better map... In the meantime, I picked up an interesting Barron's book over at the local Borders book store, The Fantasy Figure Artist's Reference File. It looks to have some good turnarounds of both male and female models in a variety of "fantasy" types of costumes, all in color -- and lots of draping cloth. I love drawing draping cloth. Plus, it comes with a CD of all of the photos. Nice.

This is a really nice drawing, wonderful expression. That book looks so helpful too!

Thanks! Hey, I've been looking for that costume book you mentioned at HPBooks, but haven't run across it just yet. It sounds like an awesome reference, too. :)
