My Work in Progress

A sketchblog where I post a few of my scribbles from a variety of works-in-progress, usually from my rather random personal creativity outside of the daily grind. I occasionally, but not always, post the final artwork.

Whatever...

Well, I joined the Women in Toys non-profit organization today. I was a bit surprised (okay, disappointed) to note how long it's been since some areas were updated. My membership is for a year, so we'll see how that goes. Hopefully, I'll get to meet some of the ladies at the Toy Fair next month.

Posted another quick random evening sketch, no relation to vacation...just my mood.

Hi Tanja!

Thanks for stopping by my page! I've actually seen your name around and was wondering the same thing haha. I was born in Mississippi, and most of my family lives in Florida...ya never know with the proximity. ;)

I'll definitely look into joining Conceptart.org, I know lots of amazing artist are there, I just need time to poke my head in to see all the amazing work!

You're artwork is great btw, I love the confidence in your lines and character designs..what type of pencil are you using (the blue one)?

Oh and based on your title on your recent entry... I have to share with you a link, it’s the best! :)

Awesome link -- thanks for sharing! :D

The blue pencil is the lovely Col-erase "blue" by Sanford. NOT the non-repro blue. Something I got into the habit of using when I went back to school, and several of the artists I work with or hang out with also like to use it now and then. I like the feel of it when I'm doing rapid sketching for concept development; and it erases and scans pretty well (at work I mostly just use printer copy paper for my drawing pad, heh).
